As a Full Stack & Cloud Engineer Intern, you will get exposure to multiple layers of modern software engineering, including:

Full-stack web application development

Backend services and REST API development

AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment

Database design and integration

Authentication and authorization systems

API integration and service-to-service communication

Application performance and reliability

CI/CD and automated deployment workflows

Cloud monitoring and troubleshooting

Developer tooling and engineering automation

You won’t be restricted to a single technology stack. Depending on project requirements, you may work across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Full-Stack Development

Develop and maintain responsive web applications and internal engineering tools.

Build reusable frontend components and integrate them with backend services.

Implement application functionality based on product and technical requirements.

Work with modern JavaScript/TypeScript-based development environments.

Consume and integrate REST APIs into application interfaces.

Debug frontend and backend issues across development environments.

Write clean, modular and maintainable code.

Backend Engineering:

Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.

Design API endpoints, request/response structures and service integrations.

Implement business logic and backend workflows.

Work with databases for data storage, retrieval and manipulation.

Handle validation, error handling and application-level security.

Integrate third-party services and external APIs where required.

Improve existing APIs for reliability, maintainability and performance.

AWS & Cloud Engineering:

Assist in deploying applications and backend services on AWS.

Work with AWS services for compute, storage, networking, databases and application infrastructure.

Assist with configuring cloud environments for development, testing and production workloads.

Monitor cloud-hosted applications and investigate infrastructure issues.

Understand and apply basic cloud security and IAM principles.

Work with environment variables, secrets and configuration management.

Assist in optimizing application deployments and cloud resource usage.

Gain practical exposure to designing reliable and scalable cloud architectures.

DevOps & Deployment:

Work with Git and GitHub-based development workflows.

Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Automate repetitive build, test and deployment processes.

Work with Docker and containerized application environments.

Assist with application versioning and release workflows.

Investigate deployment failures and runtime issues.

Help maintain development and staging environments.

Testing & Reliability:

Test APIs and application functionality before deployment.

Identify, reproduce and troubleshoot bugs.

Write basic automated tests where applicable.

Validate API responses, authentication flows and database operations.

Monitor application behaviour and help identify performance bottlenecks.

Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions.

Engineering Documentation:

Document APIs, technical workflows and implementation details.

Maintain development documentation and deployment notes.

Create clear technical explanations for implemented features.

Maintain useful README files, API documentation and configuration guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who have a strong interest in software engineering and cloud infrastructure, along with practical development experience.

Must Have:

Strong understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript.

Understanding of backend development and server-side programming.

Knowledge of REST API development and integration.

Familiarity with Git and GitHub.

Understanding of databases and CRUD operations.

Basic understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication and API communication.

Willingness to work with AWS and cloud infrastructure.

Ability to debug problems independently and learn unfamiliar technologies.

Good to Have:

Experience with React.js / Next.js / Angular.

Experience with Node.js / Express.js or another backend framework.

Knowledge of PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB.

Familiarity with Docker.

Exposure to AWS EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch or similar services.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools.

Familiarity with Linux and command-line environments.

Understanding of authentication systems such as JWT/OAuth.

Basic knowledge of cloud networking and security.

Experience building and deploying personal or academic projects.
